Shirley Cox, a Mission Service Corps missionary, serves as a photo-journalist. Her first article for “Missions Mosaic” magazine, “God’s Love from a Diaper Bag,” was featured on the October ’04 cover. Her articles have also been published in “On Mission” and “Altitude” magazines and by a North American Mission Board Web site, an Appalachian Regional Ministry Web site and by the Western Recorder, Kentucky Baptist Convention’s weekly paper. She also wrote the ’05 and ’06 Kentucky Woman’s Missionary Union Master Articles for the Week of Prayer for State Missions.
During a mission trip to Greece, she helped edit and layout an eight page newsletter for the BENJAMIN Orphan Support Society. During two ’06 mission trips, she attended the Fellowship of European Broadcasters Conference in Greece and the World Equestrian Games in Germany.
Shirley writes from her home in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky where she lives with her husband, Bud Cox. The couple has two children, Lewis and Jonathan, and two grandchildren, Allyson and Sheradyn.
